Going through the mails I’d received over the weekend Monday morning, I came across one that was comical and A typical of my country people. Literally the mail cried: “some people are trying to frustrate us”. Naa! There’s no such possibility I said to myself, we (‘cause am a part of the organisation) by both our actions and inactions had left loop holes by which we had unwittingly placed ourselves at the mercies of another.

Someone once remarked that neither God nor the devil can operate in a person’s life without permission. That’s the hard truth. It is hard for someone, anyone to frustrate you if you do the right thing as and when due. The devil goes looking for whom to devour…

Before we are quick to cry help! Someone’s frustrating or trying to frustrate me, pause and examinee yourself have I done all required to do in the circumstances. People can frustrate you only when you give them the room to so do. It’s like breaking the hedge our Father God has created for us in Christ Jesus, only then can the devil bite. If no loop hole is given be it in your finances, health, work place, family etc it’s hard and almost impossible for the devil to bite. Though try he surely will.

Post script: of course there are people who have done all that was required of them in certain situations and still get ‘frustrated’ as it were that things are not turning out as expected. These are exceptions not the rule. Trouble will surely come, but not all trouble is to frustrate…know the difference always.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 1 Peter 2:19 & 20.
