Having a discussion with my colleagues the other day over the happenings of the past couple of days got me thinking. Two pregnant colleagues: one in early stages, one in advance stage both over a difference of days had to be taken to the hospital. At the end of the discussion, my colleagues declared such to be normal with pregnant women.

Right up to when I slept, I was still pondering: normal…hmmm. From my growing knowledge in Christ: fainting during pregnancy and pains of any sort are not normal. On the finished work of Christ, His body was broken that ours may never be that we might not just be healed, but whole. That over time the devil has been able to find expression of wickedness in man, does not make it normal.

Am not saying they had deliberately chosen to let the devil’s wickedness but unwittingly by the things we have grown to call normal we give room to such expression. Also not taking charge and not operating on the level that God has placed us in, in heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above principalities, powers etc. That a thing has been the ‘norm’ over the years does not make it normal. Next time you hear or use the phrase “it is normal” pause and verify: normal by whose standard. If it is not normal by God’s standard: DO NOT ALLOW IT!.

Your word o Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens Psalm 119: 89

The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple Psalm 119: 130
