I’ve never known an athlete who won a medal after dropping out of the competition. As we go through scriptures we come across these words:- patience, endurance, keep on, do not be weary.

Everyone one can give up. It’s so easy. The marriage is not working for me:- divorce, school is taking turns I didn’t anticipate:- drop out, etc. We lose sight of the larger picture… Our God is a finisher! He did not come to earth and after seeing the unbelief say no point, no cross. He endured till “it is finished”.

The host of witnesses whose promise they will receive with us, kept on even till death! It takes courage to keep on, it takes faith, and most especially it takes Jesus Christ. To reach out in love to the one who never lets up that they can reciprocate without hatred is tough. If you faint not by choice, you will get the reward.

The crown is for those who choose to endure until the end.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone-especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:9 & 10

Patient endurance is what you need, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. Hebrews 10:36

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, HE endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honour besides God’s throne. Hebrews 12: 1 & 2
