I am learning, that things are not always how they seem. Then from a physical point of view, the view is always limited to the amount of information one has on any subject matter.

I am learning that the only clear way to judge a matter, to read a matter, to fully understand and appreciate a matter is through God’s view point.

Her husband died,
Her sons died
Surely this was a terrible thing. At this point, all sorts of opinions are given birth to: ranging from she’s a witch to the Lord is wrath with her.

The focus will be the men in her life died.
It likely would ignore the fact that she lives (assumption based on diverse scenarios from Nigeria)
She saw the hand of the Lord. Naomi saw the hand of the Lord. She read it to be against not for.

If the hand was against, why had death passed her for the sons? Why was she ‘chosen’ to live? Why was she alone ‘saved’? the way we read situations, circumstances and people directly influences the choices we make, the decisions we take and the way we relate.

What informs the way we read? Do we pause to question our own conclusions? Do we just read through the views of the acceptable? Do we just flow along?

Naomi had the benefit of hindsight for her reading. Elimelech did not for his reading.
As you read today, tomorrow, the day after and subsequent days, pause and ask yourself – am I reading this right?

I do know of One who can help you read right though. He is just a request away, feel free to ask Him when next you read, His name is Jesus.

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1: 15

The way people see life and others is generally coloured by who they are: – their character, experiences, choices et al. Thus, you find that it is easy to interpret another’s actions and words through self-knowledge i.e. who you are.

Our purity or otherwise depends on our source, knowing our roots and drawing on it. A branch draws its existence from its roots. Children of God are the branches of the True Vine – Christ Jesus.

As children of God, vessels here on earth for His glory, there is a better and higher way through which we should see and interpret people and circumstances. It is the God way – how He sees. Through His eyes if I may use that phrase. This calls for tolerance (I am sure still growing in this), patience. It demands we remember the weak and the strong be related to differently.

We are to take people out of the box we place them in. Boxes in our minds, built by our idiosyncrasies, understanding, knowledge and experiences.

Daily renewal of our mind with God’s word is the antidote for seeing people through who we are. For it shows us who we are, we are images of Christ Jesus, siblings with God the Son, His workmanship unto good works. Thus, the way He is, is our standard and blue print. The more we align with God, the more He increases in us and self-decreases. Then we would find it easier to see people, circumstances as He God sees them

5 and 2
Food for 1
For 5,000 and counting

Knowledge has a beautiful way of colouring ones’ sight. The power of knowledge. Beyond of God all things are possible to another level of I have been empowered to do way, way, much way beyond what I do.
He took
He looked to heaven
He blessed
He brake
He gave

For now, I still ponder: why 50?
You see if there was ever a PURPOSEFUL One that walked the face of this earth at some point – it was Him. Truly he is the One who has walked the face of this earth with steps ladened by purpose.
As He is – We are
AS He is – I am
As He is – I am

Not any less, no, same, equal, co-heirs, siblings…hallelujah!!!

Steps – purpose filled
Sight – coloured with knowledge of who I am.

You see nothing is ever truly not enough. A little is all that’s needed. For I have been blessed, to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish, to subdue, to have dominion. That’s why the Lord can save whether by many or by a few. A number of conquests in the Old Testament do show He chose to triumph by a few.

The numbers were not to be deterrent but a statement to all. God in 1, God in 2, God with 1, God with 2, there is nothing and no one that can withstand.

To see as He sees, I need to seat more at His feet. You see the more I understand who I am in Him, the more I begin to fully live and function the way I ought.

So I shall check my sight through the washing of His words and allow enlightenment pull down every scale dark and dreary.

On earth years and years ago, two cousins needed to stop living together for they had both grown individually in property and servants.

The Egbon gave his Aburo the choice of picking his location first. So he looked and saw a good land, a well-watered plain. It was so good that it was compared to be like the Garden of Eden. The first garden that ever was.

As far as he could see, it was just perfect for his flock and all. The choicest location in sight. There he moved. Before Maker, before God, the people of the good land were exceedingly wicked and sinful.

They were a sign of things to come. First they rebelled against the nation they were colonised by. In an ensuing war, they lost the battle. Aburo and all he had were taken captive. Egbon and his war men rescued Aburo and all he had.

Then came the judgement from God. Egbon’s intercession saved Aburo & his two virgin daughters. His loss included his married daughters, sons-in-laws, vast property, livestock and servants.

As far as Aburo had seen the best choice was taken by him. From God’s vantage point it was not. For people did determine the type of land it truly was.

As we make choices this day, may they be fully aligned with God’s sight and choice.

*It was recorded that we who would be years upon years after shall learn from it.
