Og Remember
Remember the Lord thy God, how far He has brought you, the mighty work He has wrought in you and through you. Remember how He has led you, guided you. Remember and give thanks,
Remember and keep trusting,
Remember and stay focused.
Remember. Remember His words that kept you.
Remember His hands pruning the ugly. Remember.

Remember and rejoice
Remember and be glad. For He changeth not.
Remember His sacrifice and live in awe. Only remember daily the Lord
Remember and live in remembrance.
Remember and observe.
Remember Og. Remember all He has done for you.

We are in the sixth month of 2018, it looks like the rest of the year will be a blur if I do not take deliberate steps to live and truly live. Years back we held a party back in my Father’s house in June and tagged it “Count Your Blessing”. Since then I always have it in my mind to take out time and count my many blessings.

The fact that I can post this day is a blessing to be counted. So many things I am a grateful recipient off. Some days I am sure I did not pause ling enough to truly express my thanksgiving. For live, for family, for friends, for creativity, for a career, for business, for accommodation, for ministry, for colleagues, for skills, for health, for organs functioning well, for ability to choose, for mentors, for sound mind, for discernment.

Just like I have come to realise, counting like words is therapeutic for me, it helps me bring my focus on the right Person. I can never be too thankful, nothing is ever too small to be appreciative off.

Count His goodness
Count His love
Count the times He turned up right on time

Count for love
Count for laughter
Count for the times it seemed a blurry

Count with gladness
Count with cheer
Count with a heart ever gratefully full

Count, count and yet count. For each count reminds us nothing we have is ours truly worked for but a gift given because the Greatest Gift ever is a Giver. Let my words ever count of many a time I was a recipient of love in diverse ways, and more still let my words ever count of the times I will be a recipient of love in ways unimagined.

It is human nature to worry about everything. From if we would still have friends once they are privy to what we did last night, to if the weather would be favourable to our plans…the list is pretty long. All worry does is get one depressed. Flip the coin over, turn that worry into a prayer to the One who knows all things. For sure God can do something about our prayers, has HE not said: do not worry about anything but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known Philippians 4:6.

You’ve got to make a choice daily on which it will be. One thing is certain. God does not respond to worry, God responds to prayer. Which way are you going to flip the coin?
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all HE has done Philippians 4:6

So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘what will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? ..but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. Mathew 6: 31-33.

Today in the midst of a very busy work schedule I got a few minutes to chat with a sibling from Minna. Getting to know how each other were faring as individuals, at work, with communicating with other sibs and immediate family took some lines. In response to my doing graciously well with thanksgiving to God, he asked that I please share.

As I did, I realised indeed how gracious God had been to me and still is, with each line in response I felt a surge of gratitude in me…indeed He has been ever so gracious. Sharing the experiences caused me to yet give thanks to Him and get my sibling to share in giving thanks.

I went away from the chat thinking the Lord must be soo good. Sharing the stories of the Lords goodness with one another causes us to keep our joy tanks pouring forth for His glory. It leaves both parties encouraged in His goodness and faithfulness in spite of what the circumstances may be presenting. When we share His goodness and grace we are in His will.

Never hesitate to share at each chance you get, for with each experience both parties leave with a renewed knowing of the One Who Shares the most, encouraged that it is all good through it all.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

12 months, 40 published later am sure thankful to The Greatest Muse ever. He sure has brought me some way, without Him I won’t be at this milestone.

Looking back to “Words & Letters” I know I’ve grown, the blessings are numerous, indeed for choosing my words I’d gladly testify—we are rising stronger than before the ashes*… not in ways we envisaged for sure…today we have a new bus, two homes 15 minutes apart all by Him who is our Sure Provider.

Funny I had never considered myself as a blogger, a words player may be. Indeed faithful is He that called me. Learning I still am, writing I still am.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

*In ‘Choosing My Words’ I had written about our Family House which fell into the hands of our ‘neighbours’ in Tunga, Minna…though the Gov had promised to replace same but didn’t…God came through for us, through our trickles and those of our friends…we are slowly recouping in ways we had not looked to….more than we had asked or thought:, He has done and is still doing!

The bestest month in the year is bowing of the stage for October to come on stage. It has been a beautiful one I must say. Eventful in ways I had not envisaged as it peeked in as August was making his last act.

The day I stepped into my new year, the patriarch of my mum’s family crossed to the other side of eternity. On my new job I battled a challenge that looked so immense, I had unwittingly perceived at some point that it would drown me. I came to the understanding in a new dimension that stone does appear to glitter sometimes but that did not make it in anyway a diamond. Relearning to trust Him that loves me the most for everything: from my phones functioning to what I’d eat to waking up on time laced through my days. We received answers to prayers though not appearing the way we had expected.

Yet through it all the Lover of my soul reminded me that He is Jehovah Shammah. Holding me and carrying through the days it seemed I would not survive, teaching me to weather the challenges at work to soar to great heights and celebrate His love for me daily to enjoy the abundant life He’s given me

So I look to Him: Jehovah Shammah and do a thanksgiving dance, am ever grateful for His ever abiding presence in me.
